Ask first.
Buy after.
The nine things people actually ask: where to start, what the clothing is good at, how the sizing works, when things land, and what happens if it does not fit.

Questions 9 of them
01 — 09With four names worth knowing. GOOPiMADE builds architectural technical outerwear; oqLiq works with recycled and unusual yarns; WISDOM sits closer to everyday streetwear; PLATEAU STUDIO makes quieter utilitarian pieces. We have no relationship with any of them and claim none - they are simply the labels that built the island's reputation, and four names are enough to start reading the rest. The journal takes them one at a time, with nothing to buy at the end of it.
Rain, and knitting. The island has a wet season measured in months and it is warm rain, so its makers build for that: sealed seams and taped zips on shells light enough to keep on indoors, ventilation where a British jacket would add insulation. Technical knitwear is the other strength - fabrics engineered like hardware, often from recycled or unexpected fibres. Both travel well to a British spring, which is wet and mild far more often than it is cold.
By measurement, not by letter. Every listing carries our own figures, taken flat in centimetres - chest, shoulder, length, sleeve - because a Taiwanese M and a British M are rarely the same garment and the cut usually sits closer to the body. Measure something you already wear well, compare it with the numbers, and ignore the tag. If a measurement you need is missing, ask and we will take it.
As they arrive, which is the only honest answer. A piece is listed once it is here and photographed, so what is on the site is what is actually in hand. There is no drop calendar for the Taiwanese side and no date we could print that would be worth reading. The dispatch list hears first when something lands.
Nothing is collected at your door. You pay the listed price and the postage shown at checkout, and that is the end of it - no second bill, no fee to settle with the courier. Orders go out tracked from the UK. If a piece sits in a preorder window rather than in hand, the listing says so and names the window it is in.
Send it back. You have fourteen days from delivery to change your mind on a distance sale, and fourteen more to return the goods. Return postage is yours unless the item was faulty or not as described, in which case it is ours. The measurements are taken flat on the actual garment, in centimetres, which is there precisely so this happens less often.
Full refund and you keep the item. A finding by the brand or by an authentication service is enough; you do not have to prove anything yourself. Every piece is photographed with its receipt, its swing tag and its postmark before it ships, and you see those photographs first - that is what makes the promise checkable rather than a slogan.
Because nothing is listed before it has been photographed. Each piece is handled, measured, shot with its receipt and its tag, and written up by someone who has held it, which is slow and puts a real ceiling on how much can be on the shelf at once. A short shelf you can read end to end is the intention, not a stage we are trying to grow out of.
Because they do not exist yet. Our own two-islands accessories are still being made, and rather than dress that up we leave the plate empty and label it as empty. A frame that admits what it is beats a rendering, and a price on something unmade is a number invented to look busy. When there is a piece, there will be a photograph of that piece and a price beside it.
